While I'm waiting around all day every day for something to happen, I'm watching these pots like a hawk.
In September, Indira and I filled a dozen pots with daffodil bulbs. Now green shoots are starting to poke out from the potting soil. It's very gratifying.
More on this story as it develops.
I love love love daffodils! Can't wait to see them :)
ReplyDeleteIs there some saying about watched pots? Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteAround Christmas you can force Paper White Narcissus bulbs indoors in a bowl of gravel and water. They smell wonderful, but sometimes like to grow tall enough to fall over. (Could try to stake them.)
ReplyDeleteYou can do Hyacinths that way, too. (Or in special vases that keep the bulb above water.)
if I only had space for plants!
